"We have the vision of an exemplary municipality": the opposition group "Menton with you" changes its name

"Menton with You" is undergoing a new face and a new name. The opposition group announced in a press release that it is becoming "For Menton, Another Way." Exit Anthony Malvault, who has decided to step back from local politics for the time being.

The group supported by the National Rally and led by Jean-Christophe Storaï, Pascale Véran , and Isabelle Thouvenot has just officially welcomed Isabelle Almonte into its ranks. A spoil of war, in a way, since the municipal councilor was previously in Yves Juhel's majority.

"In a local context marked by growing distrust, opaque practices and scandals that cast opprobrium on municipal management in Menton, we are choosing responsibility. We must chart another course," he claims. His goal? "to offer the people of Menton a credible, coherent, and demanding alternative. Not an opposition of posture, but a fundamental opposition."

"For too long, serious questions have remained unanswered," he added. "Public service delegations awarded without any real oversight. Custom-made urban planning. Budgetary opacity. Networks of vested interests established over time. Many people are aware of this reality. We have chosen to combat it at the municipal council."

"But our ambition doesn't stop at criticism," he objects. "What we carry is a vision: that of a respected, sovereign, exemplary Menton. A city where the general interest does not give in to arrangements. A city that makes transparency a rule, not an empty promise. A city that respects its heritage, listens to its residents, and prepares for the future with courage. [...] It is time to turn the page on petty calculations, but also on opportunistic silences and absences."

The group assures that it will be vigilant and make strong proposals on security and living conditions , in particular. "Another path exists ," it concludes. "Together, we are charting it with this new group in full awareness and serenity."
